Signature

Signature is Essentials with the work handled for you. Every standard is the same, because our standards do not move between programs. What you are buying at this level is coordination, protection against the two things that most often go wrong, and somebody from our team in the room with you.

What your $125,000 covers

• Everything in Essentials, including her full $43,050 package
• Up to three transfers with your surrogate, using your embryos
• Rematching with your cost capped at $25,000, and three more transfers with your new surrogate
• Your COFEPRIS import permit, filed, paid and tracked by us, at cost
• Your courier sourced, booked, insured and tracked door to door
• Priority in the matching queue, typically nought to ten weeks
• Travel, accommodation and airport coordination for every trip
• A professional interpreter at every appointment, and advocacy for you at the hospital
• Director access on demand, any day, rather than a shared case manager

What you pay other providers directly

• Specialist cryo courier, $3,500 to $12,000, sourced and managed by us. Your permit is already inside your price
• Your travel, accommodation and meals, about $10,000
• Your own lawyer at home, which we require you to retain, about $3,500
• Newborn health insurance, bound before the birth, about $1,400
• A neonatal reserve we advise you hold, $15,000, unspent in most journeys

Your typical total

About $162,650, all in. Signature is $20,000 above Essentials on the program price and about $17,750 above it all in, because the permit moves inside your price and the courier is bought better.

Transfers and rematching

• Up to three transfers with your surrogate are included. Sixty percent of families conceive on the first
• A fourth transfer and beyond, with the same surrogate, is $4,500 at our cost
• If your surrogate cannot continue we rematch you, and never charge an agency fee for it
• Her new package on a rematch is capped at $25,000. Whatever it actually costs, your share stops there and we carry the rest
• Three more transfers with your new surrogate, also included

The cap is the number that matters on this page. A rematch is the single most expensive thing that can happen to a surrogacy journey, and it is the one thing almost no agency will put a ceiling on. Ours costs us about $400 a family in expectation, and we would rather you knew that than wondered.

How you pay

• On signing your Agency Agreement: $24,300. Half our fee, and nothing to escrow
• When your surrogate is matched and medically cleared: $31,230
• At legal clearance, before transfer: $69,470. Escrow funded in full

Your agency fee of $48,600 is paid to Families Without Borders, and it is the only money that reaches us. Everything else is held by Seed Trust, an independent escrow administrator in the United States. It is not our account and we cannot withdraw from it. Escrow is funded in full before your transfer, because your surrogate should never begin a pregnancy on a promise that the money will arrive later.

What protects you at signing

• If we have not matched you with a medically cleared surrogate within nine months, you may withdraw and we return your entire fee less $5,000 of documented intake cost
• If you withdraw before your transfer, half of the fee you have paid is returned, and every dollar in escrow not already committed to your surrogate comes back to you in full
• If the journey ends at any point, escrow is reconciled line by line and returned within thirty days
